Ford Transit? Or would you call that “configurations” instead of “styles”

Only the Focus isn’t offered in three door hatch anymore and I believe they discontinued the CC (cabriolet), neither offered in the MkIII.

Hmm, what if you count the 4-series as part of the 3-series. Would that get you a sedan, wagon, abomination, 4-door liftback coupe, 2-door coupe, and convertible (if there’s a soft and a hardtop, would that count)? I have no clue, but convertible Focus seems gigantic compared to that driver.

Where is the convertible from?

Does the wagon van count? (and is that it’s official name?)

One could argue the X1 as well

They need a Ute version. There have been a lot of body styles. I did not know there was a convertible. I think you need to look at only one generation at a time for the list to be accurate.

Always loved this body style. People might disagree with me but I think it has aged really well.

Designed and built by Pininfarina if that’s what you mean. Like most CCs it’s no longer made.

VT-VZ Holden Commodore had 9 , sedan / wagon / ute /crewcab / one tonner / coupe / LWB sedan / hatch / convertible. plus you could get a canopy for the ute to make it into a van.

All from the same 2016 generation? Golf, probably.
Golf 3D hatch
Golf 5D hatch
Golf wagon
Golf convertible
Golf
50 Plus
Sportsvan
Besides those, you’ve got the differently named Golfs:
The Fat Golf, the Tiguan
The Golf sedan, also known as the Jetta. Discontinued in my market for some years now, but I believe they sell Jettas elsewhere
Retro Golf, the Beetle
Retro Golf convertible, the Beetle convertible
The Golf coupe, the Scirocco. Like the Jetta discontinued in my market due to poor sales, but available elsewhere.

The first generation X3 was based on the E46 3 series and the X1 is based on the E90. I’m not sure if the new X3 is or not

Is that so? I thought we had more folding hardtops now than ever.

Depends where you are I suppose. I’m only familar with Western Europe but apart from the Focus we’ve lost the Opel Astra, Renault Megane, Nissan Micra, Mitsubishi Colt, VW Eos and Peugeot 308 that I can think of. Weight and the resulting CO2 is a problem.

We still have the EOS here, and the Germans are doing it more than ever. The 4-series is a folding hardtop, and I’m pretty sure every single Merc convertible is a hardtop too. Some of these aren’t the traditional gross CC things, but they aren’t so very different.

Let me think what the Corvair had...
Sedan, coupe, convertible, wagon, truck, van... So it ties the Focus. But it was a rear-engine flat-6... I’ll take the Corvair.
